Dustin Schott moved to Jacksonville, Florida from Columbus, Ohio when he was two years old. He received his BFA in Painting from the University of North Florida in 2005 and completed a one year sabbatical at the New York Academy of Art, the Graduate School of Figurative Art in 2006 and a year sabbatical at the Savannah College of Art and Design's MFA Painting program in 2014. His work explores ideas concerning the formal aspects of the human figure, the body's historical significance in art and the application of mixed media techniques. He has work in numerous collections in the United States and abroad.
